Nothing in the collection was written specifically for the films represented; instead, works from notables like Orff, Wagner, and Handel appear, grouped by film name. This means that Classics at the Movies: Epics is essentially a classical music compilation album, with no tangible link to the films represented beyond listing them in the liner notes. Nevertheless, it's a fine set, filled with grandeur and performed with skill by an assortment of symphony orchestras, soloists, and vocalists.
