Galina Lebedeva, Soprano, graduated from the Moscow Academy of Performing Arts in the class of Professor L.Maslennikova. After working with the Sveshnikov Academic Russian Choir, she joined the company of the Sats Academic Musical Theatre for Children, where she performed a wide variety of Mozart operatic roles, including The Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute," Silberklang in "The Impressario," and Susanna in "The Marriage of Figaro."
Lebedeva has worked with the Novaya Opera theatre since 1992, where she performed the role of Lucrezia in Verdi's "I due Foscari," the title role in Donizetti's "Maria Stuarda" and soprano roles in Donizetti and Rossini operas among many others.
She was awarded a special prize at the Sixth International Voice Competition in Normandie (France) in 1994. Her performance of the role of Francesca in Rachmaninov's "Francesca da Rimini" at the Théâtre des Champs-Elyseées in Paris for Radio France was one of Lebedva's most notable successes. In addition to her operatic work, she also performs on the concert stage singing operatic arias, romances, and traditional songs.
