Anna Saradjian Piano   

Anna Saradjian was born in Yerevan, Armenia, into a musical family. Her first teacher was her father, Professor Sergey Saradjian. Her gifts on the piano were recognized quite early: at the age of 15, Ms. Saradjian won the Gold Medal at the "Amadeus" Competition (Brno, Czech Republic), as well as the Bach Prize at the International Piano Competition in Ettlingen, Germany. She then moved to New York, where she enrolled in the Julliard School of Music; her Carnegie Hall debut came in 1998. In 1999, she began studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. While a student in London, she won several competitions, including the European Beethoven Society Award (2000), as well as several awards from the Academy itself - namely, the Harold Samuel Prize and Robert Alva Memorial Prize. Upon graduating in 2002, she received the distinguished DipRam diploma - reserved to the very finest graduating students.

Since graduating, Ms. Saradjian has toured in France, Italy, Austria, and the United Kingdom. She has appeared as a soloist with the London String Orchestra, and the Galaxy String Quartet, performing such works as Haydn's Piano Concerto in G minor, and Bach's Concerto in D. We at the Classical Archives are delighted to feature this talented young pianist, and expect to hear of many successes in the near future.
