Reviews

"...(Svetlana Sidorova) the charismatically expressive Erda..."

Münchner Merkur

"...Svetlana Sidorova sang Erda with warm, rich and well developed timbre..."

Radio Opera (Germany)

"...the noble and rounded voice of Svetlana Sidorova, striking as a Erda..."

Tiroler Tagezeitung

"Under Sidorova...the seduction of Carmen is that of a young girl of the streets, who abandons herself freely to the whims of destiny, and who fully senses the intensity of the tragedy only in the third act - where the somber and agile voice of this mezzo-soprano finds its full power."

Opera International (France)

"...A new Carmen appeared on the Mariinskij's stage in October. Svetlana Sidorova offered the original version of the famous story. She has a beautifull voice with a deep and sensual timbre..."

Mariinskij Theater (Russia)

"...The music (of Songs and Dances of Death) reflects the text's darkness but doesn't lack beauty - on the contrary, they are beautiful pieces that reflect the author's personality. Sidorova has proven to have a great power in her voice that gave the songs the right character making for an outstanding performance that was much applauded."
