Norwegian pianist, Sigurd Slattebrekk received his first lessons from his mother and continued his studies with Ingeborg Songe Moller. He graduated from the Norwegian State Academy in the class of Professor Einar Steen-Nokleberg.
Slattebrekk has been a prizewinner in both Norwegian and international piano competitions. Among his most significant victories were the Diplome de Laureat at the Bratislava Rostrum Competition, and the Third Prize at the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo.
Since his debut concert in 1991, he has appeared as both recitalist and soloist with orchestra in several European capitals.
