Jacques Loeillet (1685 - 1748), younger brother of ean-Baptiste Loeillet of London, was an oboist and composer. Born in Ghent, he served the Elector of Bavaria (who was residing in the Netherlands) as an oboist. In 1726, when the Elector returned to Munich, Loeillet followed him. He later served Louis XV at Versailles, as hautbois de la chambre du roi. In 1746, toward the end of his life, Loeillet returned to Ghent. His works include two concertos for oboe and strings, six trio sonatas, and six sonatas for violin (or flute) and continuo.
