Giuseppe Giuliano; ITA   

Giuseppe Giuliano was born in Rome, and studied various musical disciplines at the Accademia di S.Cecilia: composition with G.Turchi and G.Petrassi; electronic music studies with F.Evangelisti, L.Nono and H.P Haller; conducting with F.Ferrara; and piano performance. Mr. Giuliano's compositions have been performed in Europe, Canada, USA, Australia and Japan, including some of the most renowned venues and festivals for electronic music, including IRCAM (Paris), the Internationale Ferienkurse Darmstadt, the Gouldbenkian Lisbona, the E.M.A.S. London, the ElektronFestival (Stockholm), the Festival de Genève and the Accademia Chigiana Siena. In 1983-84, Mr. Giuliano worked at the electronic Studio of Freiburg (Germany), and then at GRM Radio France in Paris. In 1987, he founded the Studio ES in Milan, dedicated to the production and diffusion of electroacoustic and "informatic" music - where he is actively exploring new possibilities of integrating electronic techniques with traditional and more recent acoustic instruments. This creative integration is prominently displayed in the works presented here at the Classical Archives.
