A child prodigy, Campbell-Tipton began publishing his songs at the age of 15. He studied at the Leipzig Conservatory with Schreck and Reinecke. After despairing of getting his songs published in America, he moved to Paris where he remained for the rest of his life. He wrote two operas that were never published, as well as many instrumental and orchestral works, including a suite, =The Four Seasons= and a sonata for piano, =Sonata Heroic. He also published about 30 songs. © Lynn Vought, All Music Guide
