Jean Jeanrenaud established herself as the 'cellist in the Kronos Quartet. Both her playing and image have contributed to their success, and in the 1980s critics called her the "Stevie Nicks of the Classical Music world". After spending twenty years with Kronos, Jeanrenaud decided to strike out on a solo career, which thus far (2001) has shown immense promise. © Uncle Dave Lewis, All Music Guide
