The Trio E-Grazia was formed in 2000 by three honor graduates of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory: flutist Elizaveta Dastakyan, violist Yana Daryan, and harpist Mane Atanesyan. The trio has performed frequently in Yerevan, to much critical acclaim. The three likewise perform as soloists with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Serenade Chamber Orchestra (featured here at the Classical Archives).
Ms. Dastakyan studied flute at the Yerevan Conservatory, and continued post-graduate work with Professors Aloyan and Noniyan. She has likewise performed as a soloist at the Yerevan State Opera, both in Armenia and throughout Europe. She currently teaches flute at the Yerevan Tchaikovsky Music College.
Ms. Daryan has appeared in over 900 concerts with the Serenade Chamber Orchestra throughout Armenia, Russia, and Europe, including more than 50 performances as a viola soloist. Beyond her studies at the Yerevan Conservatory, Ms. Daryan studied at the Bern Hochschule für Musik und Theater (Bern, Switzerland), with Professors Sergey Khachatrian, Hartmut Rohde, Christoph Schiller, and Walter Levin. She has participated in numerous music festivals in Salburg, St. Moritz, and Schloss Waldeck (Germany), and recorded several CDs as a soloist and chamber musicians.
Ms. Atanesyan completed her harp studies at the Yerevan Conservatory, where she then pursued post-graduate work. She is a soloist with both the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Yerevan State Opera. She has toured the United States, France, Germany, Greece, Russian, and Iran with these ensembles, and has recorded several CDs, as a soloist and chamber musician.
