(In his time, he was respected more for his virtuosity than his skill as a composer; his songs were considered too complex for common enjoyment.) The notation in the music I used seemed unorthodox; it resorted to putting the two hands together in one melody line, and only distinguishing which played what by the method of beaming... I ended up just guessing. This must not be extremely unusual, but I do suspect I have made some mistakes. If you find any, correct me at ckermiht@teleport.com. »«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»« The tempo I chose is a bit fast. The presto may be slowed to 100bpm and still sound well. For a larger organ sound, the manual tracks may be put slightly to the right and left. I have not done this, considering the parts where the melody is not separated by left and right hands. If you are using an FM synthesizer and your "Church Organ" patch is not convincing, a good alternative is "Clavinet" or "Harpsichord" for the manuals and "Cello" for the pedal. Such transpositions were common at the time and do not make the piece 'incorrect', but may lack the original texture and grandeur. »«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»Ta-ta!«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«
