JEAN LOUIS TULOU He was a flute virtuoso, and a great composer. He was borned in Paris in 1786,was dead in Nant in 1865. He entered the Conservatoire at 10 years old, arrived at the top flutist of Italian Opera at 18 years old. He had loved old-fashioned flute in opposition to the modern system one made by T.Boehm, but his musical intervals were said to be perfect. HIS WORKS He composed many works for flute(s).* Unfortunately, his works are not famous in present. But his idea and inspiration are rich, confortable and attractive. If you listen to his works, you shoud discover a new grate composer. *Refer to Mr.M.Yamada's page: http://www.electro.kushiro-ct.ac.jp/~ym/flute/works/Tulou.html MY MIDI FILES Files for a flute and strings are not Tulou's ordinal works. They were arrenged from his ordinal ones for a flute and piano by me conveniently. But he composed ones for a flute and orchestra. Because I can't listen to them yet,I want to substitute the flute and strings version as the orchestra one. Plese imagine his ordinal works from my substitutes, and excuse me. I wish Tulou's works would become one of your favorites. Thank you. Takahiro Sato (satopy@cc.gifu-u.ac.jp)
