Bixio wrote both words and music for this piece, "My song to the wind." In this song, the lover calls to the wind to carry him away, and compares the varying types of winds, from caressing breezes to wild storns, to the differing moods of love. The musical lines appropriately echo the different emotions, in both the vocal and the instrumental parts.

The song starts quietly, but as it continues, it picks up in volume and in tempo (speed). "The wind murmurs like it did that evening, the wind of April, of spring, that touched her face with a sigh, while her lips repeated, 'I promise." But then love is an insane wind, that runs away like you ran away! Wind, wind, carry me away with you! We'll join the heavens together, where the stars burn in their hundreds. And without a single regret, I want to forget a betrayal! Wind, wind, carry me away with you." The lines here are exuberant and excited, and depict a strong wind. The mood quiets for the next lines, evoking the gentle breeze of the opening, "You pass lightly as a mirage, the wind of April, of spring. You who can still touch her, tell her I love her, my heart begs her, tell her that I tremble with jealousy just at the thought that you kiss her!" The melody of the refrain returns, with "Wind, wind, carry me away with you. You who know all my sorrows, tell her that I still love her so much. Under the clear stars, maybe love will come back. Wind, wind, carry me away with you!" The mood darkens slightly as the song slows again, "The wind murmurs like it did that evening ... why don't you return? It's spring!" but the final orchestral line is as exuberant as the refrain, ending on a note of hopefulness.
