This single-movement keyboard sonata begins in cocksure high spirits with a theme that is successivly presented in upper and lower registers of the keyboard. Some reflectively gliding material follows, and the opening staccato-paced feel returns with a melody line that makes effective use of repeated notes. The second half begins with the reflective glide and then proceeds to further explore the staccato ideas.
