This work is a single-movement keyboard sonata that is marked Allegro for tempo. It is insouciantly happy in mood and features melodies with rhythmically active accompaniments throughout. Along the way there are some nudgy intra-line melodic repetitions that give a comical impression of progress frustrated. The music features some intriguing hemiolas before the end of the first half and some imitative interactions between the player's two hands at the start of the second.
