This work is a single-movement keyboard sonata that projects a jaunty good mood by way of a happy-go-lucky melody that makes its way over an accompaniment that unequivocally marks the meter. The end of each half features a cadential triplet figure that migrates through three registers, and the sonata's second half spins through the minor mode without changing the mood.
