Musicology (work in progress):
This composition is a re-working of a work originally for two pianos only, called "Orpheus Over and Under." The original version was written in 1989 and the new version in 1994. In it, each of the pianos has an allied identical group of winds: Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, and trombone. In addition, the ensemble includes a double bass and an electric guitar.

Under Orpheus, for 2 pianos & bandYear: 1989-94
- 1.Aria
- 2.Chorale
It is in two movements, "Aria" and "Chorale." In the first part, the pianos play single-note tremolos; in the second, two-note tremolos. The wind instruments take up these pitches, and gradually expand on them. In the aria, the bass and guitar enter, with very distorted sound, beginning music of increased complexity. In the "chorale," uneasy chords slowly shift. Once again, the bass and guitar lead to musical disturbance and more complexity.
