Alexey Pavluchuk

Alexey Pavluchuk was born in 1970 in Saratov, Russia, and graduated from the Saratov Conservatory, studying composition with Professor Brening. Between 1995 and 1998, Alexey participated in a seminar of young composers in Ivanovo, Russia with Moscow-based composer Sergey Berinsky (whose music is likewise featured here at the Classical Archives.) Then in 2000, he completed post-graduate work at the Russia State Conservatory (Jewish Maimomedes State Academy) in Moscow, studying with composer Efrem Podgaits (another composer featured here at the Classical Archives.) He has been a member of the Union of Russian Composers since 1997, and currently teaches composition at the Musical High School in the city of Engels, Russia.

Among the awards won thus far by Alexey include First Prize at the 5th All-Russian Esenin Competition of Young Composer "Rowan-tree Dreams" (Moscow, 1999) and a medal for "Creative Contribution" in Russian Arts and Education (2001). He has participated in a number of concerts in Russia organized by the S. Berinsky Music Club. He has thus far completed a number of chamber works - several of which are featured here, as well as a few works for orchestra.
