Due to limitations, in current music streaming technologies, there are pauses between tracks.
Usually, this is not a problem when played from CD (CD players don't pause between tracks), but when streaming music on the web, gaps between tracks become more noticeable (particularly multi-movement works that were composed without pauses).
We are exploring ways to reduce this gap (including pre-buffering the next track, before the current track is finished playing), but so far, we haven't been able to solve this industry-wide problem.
We will continue to explore potential solutions as they present themselves.
Chrome recently changed their auto-play policy.
This may prevent your player to start playing automatically as it opens after you select a track to play.
To configure Chrome to start playing automatically, please do the following, while you're viewing this page:
* click the lock icon to the left of "classicalarchives.com" in the address bar
* click on "Site settings"
* to the right of "Sound", select "Allow"
* close the settings tab
* close the Queuing Player window (if it was opened), and reload the Classical Archives page
Please note that an active subscription is needed to access Classical Archives on Sonos.
Please open your Sonos controller, and then:
* click "... More" at the bottom
* click "Add Music Services"
* scroll down and click on "Classical Archives"
* click "Add to Sonos"
* click on "I already have an account"
* click "Authorize", you will be redirected to the Classical Archives login page
* enter your email and password (the same as you've selected during your sign-up), and click "Log In"
Now return back to your Sonos controller, and you should see Classical Archives added to the list of services, after you'll click on "Browse" at the bottom.
